This form is part of a recently
published proposed rule (78 FR 55014). This form would be filed by
responsible persons of legal entities, as part of the Form 1, 4,
and 5 submission to obtain permission to make, register, or
transfer a National Firearms Act (NFA) firearm. Possession or
transfer of an unregistered NFA firearm is illegal. The approval of
the Form 1, 4, or 5 application, with the attached Form 5320.23,
effectuates the registration of a firearm.
