BEP will engage blind and visually
impaired individuals (study participants) to conduct
acuity/perception studies, in order to gain information about
specific tactile feature options it is considering for inclusion in
its next U.S. paper currency redesign. These studies will involve
asking the test subjects questions about the effectiveness of
sample tactile features, and having the study participants perform
a series of specific tasks designed to measure the usability of the
tactile features being evaluated.
