The American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act of 2009 (ARRA) established the Transit Investments in
Greenhouse Gas and Energy Reduction (TIGGER) Program with $100
million in new discretionary grant program funding to support
public transit agencies in making capital investments that would
assist in the reduction of energy consumption or greenhouse gas
emissions within their public transportation systems. The
information that's currently being collected for this program is
submitted as part of the Project Management reporting requirements
for TIGGER. The collection of Project Management information
provides documentation that the recipients of TIGGER funds are
meeting program objectives and are complying with FTA Circular
5010.1D, "Grant Management Requirements" and other federal
requirements.
