Letter to Key Holders:

Dear Key Holder,
Congratulations on being named Key Holder by your Chief Officer for the State Library Administrative
Agency (SLAA) Survey, formerly known as the State Library Agencies Survey, a data collection sponsored
by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. We are the American Institutes for Research, a not-forprofit behavioral and social science research organization based in Washington, DC and are the new
data collection agent for this important survey.
Attached to this e-mail is a letter that holds all of the information that you will need to submit your
state’s data for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 SLAA Survey, including your survey user name and password,
the survey instructions, the survey questionnaire, and the web tool User’s Guide. These materials should
answer any questions you may have as you begin the survey.
The FY 2012 SLAA data collection will begin on January 14, 2012.
