Asset data file information
requirements to be provided for registered offerings of
asset-backed securities at the time of securitization and on an
ongoing basis.
The proposed amendments in
Release No. 33-9117 would require issuers to file tagged data on
each asset in the pool backing asset-backed securities. The
increase in the burden associated with this new collection of
information called "Asset Data File" is necessary in order to
provide investors with more transparency on the characteristics of
the assets at the time of securitization and performance of the
assets on an ongoing basis. The proposal would result in an
increase of 193,099 burden hours and an increase in the cost burden
of $41,319,571 for software and filing agent costs. For a more
detailed discussion, please refer to the supporting statement.
