We are updating the SSA-7050 language to improve clarity and standardizing the fee schedule to improve ease of use for the public. Action does not affect the public burden. The Social Security Act permits wage earners, or their authorized representative, to request Social Security earnings information from SSA using Form SSA-7050. SSA uses the information to verify authorization of the requester's access to the earnings record, and to produce the earnings statement. The respondents are wage earners or their authorized representatives.
