On behalf of Aurora Public Schools (APS) and REL Central, we would like to invite you to complete a short survey regarding your experiences with APS mentoring over the past school year. REL Central is the federal education laboratory for this region.

This survey is intended to help APS and REL Central better understand current mentoring practices for new and probationary teachers and to improve support for these teachers. Taking part in this survey is completely voluntary and you will be asked to give your consent to participate.

Information collected comes under the confidentiality and data protection requirements of the Institute of Education Sciences (The Education Sciences Reform Act of 2002, Title I, Part E, Section 183). Responses to this survey will be used for statistical purposes and reports prepared for the study will summarize findings across the sample and will not attempt to associate responses with a specific individual. All data from this survey will be collected by REL Central and personally identifiable information will not be shared with the district.

The survey includes questions about the intensity and types of mentoring received, and your opinion on the value of the mentoring activities. The survey also includes questions about background information, such as grade level and subject taught.

We anticipate this survey will take approximately 10-20 minutes, and may be completed and submitted online. To show appreciation for your time and effort, the district will compensate you $25 for completing the survey.
