This information collection allows the
Office of Indian Energy and Economic Development (IEED) to solicit
proposals for projects for building capacity for tribal energy
resource development from Indian tribes whose lands are held in
trust or restricted fee by the Federal government. IEED then
provides funding in the form of Tribal Energy Development Capacity
Program (TEDC) grantts. Indian tribes that would like to apply for
a TEDC grant must submit an application.

Adjustments were made to the
number of responses to accurate reflect the increasing the number
of TEDC grant applications submitted per year, on average, from 20
to 26 applicants (resulting in an annual hourly burden increase
from 800 to 1,040 hours). In addition, IEED decreased the progress
reports submission from quarterly or twice a year, reducing the
annual hourly burden from 60 hours to 27 hours.
