Request for Approval under the “Generic Clearance for the Collection of
Routine Customer Feedback” (OMB Control Number: 1505-0231)
TITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION: Acquisition 360 – Improving Acquisition
Process Through Timely Feedback from External Stakeholders
PURPOSE:
To ensure that agencies can continually consider and improve their performance in early vendor
engagement efforts and internal acquisition practices, via a robust, timely, and specific feedback
mechanism from key stakeholders Treasury will be using various tools and methods to reach
these key stakeholders. The results will be used to strengthen its acquisition function from preaward activities up to, and including, contract award and debriefings. This effort is not intended
to be used to rate individual vendors, contracting officers, program managers, or integrated
project teams (IPTs), or to compare procuring offices generally, as the complexity of
procurements varies greatly among agencies, and unexpected challenges can arise. However,
these tools and methods are meant to help Treasury identify strengths and weaknesses with
industry and internal acquisition practices so as to make internal improvements on the
acquisition planning and executing contracts.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS:
All vendors who submit proposals or quotations to the Department of the Treasury.

For the purpose of the Acquisition 360 – 2nd Phase, Treasury’s plan for identifying the potential
group of respondents is to obtain a list of Treasury awards from FPDS. A random sample will be
generated from this list, based on any criteria that may be established as part of the sampling
plan, in order to identify the awards to be surveyed. Bureaus will then be requested to identify
the vendor point of contact identified by the offeror who responded to the solicitation along with
the contact information for the program official and contracting officer who supported the
acquisition as well. The voluntary survey will be sent to those individuals.

TITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION: Provide the name of the collection that is the
subject of the request. (e.g. Comment card for soliciting feedback on xxxx)
PURPOSE: Provide a brief description of the purpose of this collection and how it will be used.
If this is part of a larger study or effort, please include this in your explanation.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS: Provide a brief description of the targeted group or
groups for this collection of information. These groups must have experience with the program.
TYPE OF COLLECTION: Check one box. If you are requesting approval of other
instruments under the generic, you must complete a form for each instrument.
CERTIFICATION: Please read the certification carefully. If you incorrectly certify, the
collection will be returned as improperly submitted or it will be disapproved.
