Abstract: Scientists at the Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute periodically monitors and reports recreation visitor use and user characteristics and visitor feedback about management actions on federal lands, including National Wildlife Refuges to land managers and the public. We will use the collected information to protect wilderness-type recreational experiences, and to ensure that visitors' recreational activities do not harm the wilderness characteristics, wilderness resource values, or related recreational opportunities of the refuges.
