We are conducting a study of recreation visitors to inform future management decisions at the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Your thoughtful responses to the items in the enclosed questionnaire will provide important information to managers who are faced with decisions that will affect the future of the refuge. The questionnaire items address your recent visit and your opinion about different management options.

Your name and address were obtained from an information registration card that you filled out and sent to us about your recent trip to the Arctic Refuge. Due to the relatively small number of people who visit the refuge, each and every response to this study is especially important. We would greatly appreciate if you would take the time to complete the survey and return it in the enclosed, postage-paid envelope. The questionnaire has a 5 digit identification number on the front cover. This number is used only to keep track of who responds. Your response is voluntary and will be held in strictest confidence. All results will be analyzed in such a way that your answers cannot be identified with you.

The results of this study will be available in 2016 at the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge website – http://arctic.fws.gov/index.htm. Once again, your help in this study is greatly appreciated. Please contact me if you have any questions about the study.
