The DOL referral letter is used to notify grant applicants of the referral, and to advise the applicants and the labor organization(s) representing transit employees in the service area of the project how to proceed. The Claims Information Form is sent at the request of individuals who wish to file a personal claim concerning the enforcement of a protective arrangement under a grant, and that the DOL arbitrate that claim. The DOL receives less than ten (10) complaint forms a year.
