This request is to increase burden for the NCES Cognitive, Pilot, and Field Test Studies System
Clearance (OMB# 1850-0803), to accommodate the many developmental studies currently being
carried out by NCES and the fact that our burden requests include sample members and burden
associated with recruitment. We request to increase burden allowance for the three years of clearance
to 405,000 responses and 81,000 burden hours (to be used over the three years).
