NHES 2016 Spanish Phase 2 Cognitive Interviews –

Spanish Instruments Addendum

Since 2012, updates have been made to the ECPP, PFI-Enrolled, and PFI-Homeschooled questionnaires, including recent revisions as of March 13, 2015 and there are new translations for these items. Due to the timing of the recent revisions, the Spanish translations have not yet been formatted into a complete questionnaire. This addendum lists the newly translated items. Specific questions and words that have new translations are highlighted in red.

Note about ESRA language. The Phase 2 interviews are not testing ESRA language. This language is part of Phase 1. Any changes from 2012 will be requested as part of the NHES:2016 full survey OMB submission and are not reflected in the attached 2012 surveys in English or Spanish.

“Accreditation” is another way to judge the quality of a child care program. Family child care homes and child care centers can choose to get accredited by a child care accrediting organization, such as the National Association for the Education of Young Children or the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation.
