TITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION: FDA/CFSAN Interagency Food Safety Analytics Collaboration (IFSAC) Webinar Survey for FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), Office of Analytics and Outreach (OAO) Fall 2017 IFSAC Webinar

DESCRIPTION OF THIS SPECIFIC COLLECTION

  1. Statement of need:

The Interagency Food Safety Analytics Collaboration (IFSAC) is a federal tri-agency collaboration among the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The goal of this collaboration is to improve coordination of federal food safety analytic efforts and address cross-cutting priorities for food safety data collection, analysis, and use. Projects and studies aim to identify foods that are important sources of illnesses.

As part of its new Strategic Plan, IFSAC seeks to identify relevant stakeholders and develop better methods for communicating with them about IFSAC products and analyses.

  1. Intended use of information:

Results from the survey will be used to improve the next webinar, in spring 2018. We also intend to use the results of the survey to enhance our outreach, improve our engagement with stakeholders, and better disseminate information to stakeholders about IFSAC’s activities and research findings.
