This ICR extends approval to collect information under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCAR) section 313 and section 6607 or the Pollution Prevention Act (PPA) of 1990. Respondents submit information concerning toxic chemical releases into the air, land and water.

There has been a slight increase in the number of facilities reporting to TRI. The Administrative Stay of the TRI reporting for hydrogen sulfide was lifted on Oct. 17, 2011, which has led to an increase in submissions. The addition of the o-Nitrotoluene Rule has led to an increase in reporting.
