The Corporation for National and Community Service( CNCS) is a federal agency thatprovidesfundingfornationalserviceprogramsincludingAmeriCorps.

TobetterunderstandhowAmeriCorpsmembersandtheirhostorganizationsworkintheircommunities,CNCS is conducting a Community Engagement researchstudy.AsanAmeriCorpsmemberhost,yourresponsesarecrucialtounderstandingtheengagementprocessandthedevelopmentofcommunity partnerships.Forthepurposesofthissurvey,“community”isdefinedasthelocalgeographicareatargetedbyyourAmeriCorpsprogramsand activities.

YourresponseswillbeusedexclusivelybyCNCSOfficeofResearch&EvaluationandAFYA,Inc.(ourconsultantforthisproject).Yourindividualresponseswill notbesharedwiththeAmeriCorpsprogramofficeormanagement.TheywillalsonotbesharedwiththeorganizationthatdirectlyreceivesAmeriCorpsfundsand providesyouwithyourAmeriCorpsmembers,ifyouarenotthatorganization.

Results from this studywillbereportedonlyintheaggregatesuchthatyouoryourorganizationwillnotbeidentifiable, and your responses will have no impact on your future receipt of AmeriCorps members or funding from CNCS*.

At the end of this survey, you will beaskedtoprovidethecontactinformationofupto5partnerorganizations.Theseshouldbeorganizationsthatyou have maintained a partnership with for one year or longer, related to your AmeriCorpsprogrambutarenottheactualservicelocationofthemember.Thesemay includeorganizationswheremembershaveprovidedserviceororganizationsthathavecontributedtotheAmeriCorpsprograminsomemanner.Partner organizationscouldbenon­profit,religious,public,oraprivatebusiness.
