Hi [NAME],
As you may know, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) contracted with Mathematica Policy Research and National Quality Forum (NQF) to conduct an evaluation of the Advance Interoperable Health Information Exchange (AHIE) program. Mathematica is an independent research company that is recognized nationwide for its rigorous, objective analysis of policy and programs (more information on Mathematica is available at: http://www.mathematica-mpr.com). NQF is a not-for-profit, nonpartisan, membership-based organization that works to catalyze improvements in health care (more information on NQF is available at: http://www.qualityforum.org/what_we_do.aspx).
The Mathematica-NQF team would like to interview each AHIE awardee for 90 minutes via telephone. Topics of interest include techniques awardees used to engage health care providers, awardee program benefits to providers, implementation challenges, and strategies to address challenges. The Mathematica-NQF team’s interview will be semi-structured in nature and will allow awardees an opportunity to highlight those elements of their programs that matter most to them.
As part of the evaluation, Mathematica created logic models for each AHIE awardee’s program. The Mathematica-NQF team would like discuss the logic models with awardees during the phone interviews to receive feedback on how accurately the logic models describe the awardee programs. Mathematica will contact you to schedule an interview and will also share your program’s logic model with you at that time.
Attached to this email is FAQ document with more information about the requested interview. If you have any questions or comments about our evaluation of the Advance Interoperable Health Information Exchange (AHIE) program, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Thank you again!
