This information collection requires
labeling for each helmet by the manufacturer. The labeling ensures
helmet safety to helmet users and enables NHTSA to identify the
helmet manufacturer for enforcing the Standard.
There is an adjustment reported
because of the increased number of responses received, resulting in
burden hours increased from 5,000 to 9,100 hours and the cost
increase from $720,000 to $1,300,000.
