The Commission intends for the FERC-725X information collection to eventually contain all paperwork burden for Voltage and Reactive (VAR) Reliability Standards. It is a new collection, so it doesn't contain any existing paperwork burden currently. The Order in RD14-11 is the first activity (and first paperwork burden) added to the 725X.
In an Order in RD14-11 the Commission approved new versions of two VAR Reliability Standards, which are being included in FERC-725X. The net change in burden is zero. In conjunction with the burden increase requested in this ICR, the Commission is asking (in a separate ICR) for the same amount to be subtracted from the FERC-725A (OMB Control Number 1902-0244), which includes the current standards being replaced.
US Code:
16 USC 824o
Name of Law: Energy Policy Act of 2005
In RD14-11 the Commission approved new versions of two existing Reliability Standards. The Order in Docket No. RD14-11 does not result in a net burden change to industry. The burden increases in the new FERC-725X are offset by the burden reductions in FERC-725A (in a separate ICR), which includes the current requirements for VAR standards that are being replaced.
