MARAD is receiving a one year approval for this collection in light of ongoing discussions regarding updates to the agency's regulations governing the Cargo Preference program. The agency will resubmit this collection for review upon submission of the Cargo Preference update NPRM to OMB. MARAD will also brief OMB on the results of any ongoing studies the agency is involved in as those studies relate to costs and fair and reasonable rates. This briefing will occur as the results of the studies are finalized.
