T ITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION: Tribal MIECHV Data System Planning

PURPOSE: To collect feedback about the current state of data systems across Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (Tribal MIECHV) grantees and to gauge interest in and need for a federally developed data system. Key informants will respond to questions about their current monitoring and reporting needs, such as infrastructure and capability for data collection and reporting as it pertains to the federal annual reports. Respondents will provide information about current data system capabilities and limitations. In addition, we will ask respondents about the features and capabilities they would expect in a federally supported data system and potential barriers to implementing that system within the tribal agency (i.e. tribal data policies). We will use data from the survey to develop an internal report to ACF that will inform the development of design options for a federally supported Tribal MIECHV management information system.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS: Staff employed by ACF Tribal MIECHV grantees who have direct experience with the collection and management of program data and annual federal reporting. Respondents may include program directors, data system contractors, evaluators, managers, or other staff members able to speak to the content of the survey. One respondent from each ACF Tribal MIECHV grantee will be asked to complete the survey for that program.
