This information is necessary for the Attorney General and Arrest Program grantees to comply with federal statutory reporting requirements. The information will be used for a report to Congress on the effectiveness of the activities supported by Arrest Program funds. The purpose of this grant program is to encourage States, Indian tribal governments, State and local courts (including juvenile courts), tribal courts, and units of local government to treat domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking as serious violations of criminal law.
