This information establishes a rigorous scientific basis for providing information about how consumers value vehicle fuel economy. This study will describe how consumers value vehicle fuel economy, compare current results with the results of a similar study conducted in 2003, and estimate distributions of these valuation processes across the national population of car-buying and car-leasing households.
