NOAA asks people who operate ground
receiving stations that receive data from NOAA satellites to
complete a questionnaire about the types of data received, its use,
the equipment involved, and similar subjects. The data obtained are
used by NOAA for short-term operations and long-term planning. This
collection falls under the NOAA Policy on Partnerships in the
Provision of Environmental Information
(http://www.noaa.gov/partnershippolicy/#policyintro). We have made
minor wording changes to the form, to clarify that the data is not
limited to customers with ground station satellites.
NOAA is increasing the expected
number of responses to 300 due to an increased focus on encouraging
participation. Also, based on respondent feedback, the estimated
response time has been reduced from 10 minutes to 5 minutes.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
