Section B. Description of Statistical Methodology

B.1. Respondent Universe

The primary universe of interest for EDFacts consists of the State Education Agencies, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Department of Defense Education Agency, Bureau of Indian Education, and the outlying areas and freely associated states. In total there are 61 respondents.

B.2. Statistical Methodology

There is no sampling or estimation done for the EDFacts collection.

B.3. Methods to Maximize Response Rates

EDFacts response rates for state education agencies are consistently 100%.

B.4. Tests of Procedures and Methods

There are no statistical procedures or methods utilized by EDFacts.

B.5. Reviewing Individuals

Listed below are individuals who have reviewed, in whole or in part, the EDFacts data collection as part of their membership in the Education Information Management Advisory Committee (EIMAC) EDFacts Task Force. Members of the EDFacts Governance Board (EDGB) and NCES EDFacts Program Office Liaisons also assisted in reviewing package documentation in various capacities throughout the preparation process.
