Abstract: Reporting Form ETA-9161, Self-Employment Assistance, includes information about people who enter the SEA program and the benefits they receive and some limited outcome data. These data are used for oversight and to provide data responsive to statutorily required evaluations of this program. A State summarizes information collected from SEA program participants to prepare the reports.

Short Statement: Previously information was collected for participants eligible for Emergency Unemployment Compensation, however that program has expired and authorization for that portion of this data collection is no longer necessary. Additionally, under current economic assumptions, no states are projected to pay compensation in the EB program during the next several years, resulting in a reduction in the burden estimate.
