The Treasury Department is seeking OMB approval for an information collection to inform its administration of a pilot to develop and test the impact of a mobile app. The app, Ramp It Up, is designed to change high school studentsâ mental models about their ability to attend and finance higher education. It seeks to achieve that goal by teaching students about options for financing higher education and introducing them to college financial resources through a gamified experience. D2D built Ramp It Up to help improve studentsâ confidence around financing higher education and encourage them to engage with existing websites that explain key elements of the college financing process in an organized, directive, and fun way. The Treasury Department contracted with the Doorways to Dreams Fund (D2D) to develop and evaluate the appâs impact on high school studentsâ confidence levels, mental models, and decision-making skills related to college financing.
