Abstract: This request is for the establishment of a new information collection to implement the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requirements for safeguarding sensitive information. Part of the mission of the DHS is to protect the nation’s cybersecurity and to coordinate responses to cyber-attacks and security vulnerabilities. In keeping with this mission, DHS is proposing to amend the HSAR to implement requirements that contractors and subcontractors must meet to protect sensitive information. This information collection is necessary to ensure adequate security measures are in place to safeguard sensitive information and to improve incident reporting to DHS.
