The NASA DEVELOP National Program is
sponsored by the NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Applied
Sciences Program and supports NASA Strategic Plan, Goal 2: to
advance the understanding of Earth and develop technologies to
improve the quality of life on Earth. The DEVELOP National Program
extends NASA Earth science and research and technology data to
individuals interested in discovering innovative and practical uses
of Earth observations for societal benefits. This information
collection is necessary to enable individuals to apply for an
opportunity to participate in the NASA DEVELOP Program, which is
held three times per year. Each session is conducted over a ten
week period. Information collected from interested individuals
includes a completed application, academic transcripts, a resume,
and two letters of recommendation.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
