Federal marketing orders may authorize production & marketing research, incl paid advertising paid with assessments levied on handlers, exempted certified organic producers and marketers from paying assessments for marketing promotion, incl paid advertising expenses under specified M.O. To be exempt, eligible certified organic producers & marketers need to meet all specified requirements in the assessment exemption, submit application FV-649 to the applicable committee or board to review.
