The Agency is requesting an adjustment decrease of 43 burden hours (from 1,029 to 986 burden hours). The decrease is a result of removing burden hours for training because the Agency, upon further consideration, does not believe training is subject to PRA. Also, the Agency estimates an overall increase in operations and maintenance costs based on updated data sources from $68,478 to $74,466, an increase of $5,988. Specifically, OSHA estimates the cost for administering medical examinations under the Standard has increased (from $183 to $207 per examination). This increase is off-set by an estimated decrease in the cost for a laboratory to analyze exposure-monitoring samples (from $117 to $87 per sample).
