The Food and Nutrition Services
administers the National School Lunch Program and the School
Breakfast Program as mandated by the National School Lunch Act and
the Child Nutrition Act. Local Educational agencies must post
reports and maintain records documenting compliance with the local
wellness policy requirements.
This is a new information
collection associated with rulemaking for the Local School Wellness
Policy Implementation Under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of
2010 rule. It will increase the OMB inventory by 66,073 responses
and 156,923 hours due to program changes associated with
rulemaking.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
