Transportation Service Providers (carriers) furnish information in a uniform format so that the United States Government can determine the cost of transportation, accessorial, and security protective services and select the best value carriers for millions of Bill of Lading shipments annually.
This is a reinstatement of a previously approved collection. The program has also reevaluated how they calculate responses in order to more accurately reflect respondent burden. Instead of counting the number of shipping responses, the program is now counting responses from individuals within the companies. The number of respondents has also increased since this collection was last approved.
