Notice of Award – Proof of Concept Test Model

Background

The DATA Act requires efforts to facilitate the development of recommendations for standardized reporting elements across the Federal Government. These recommendations will comprise a report to Congress and include a discussion of actions or recommendations to improve financial transparency. The Notice of Award (NOA) is a document that contains information that grant recipients need to perform routine accounting and finance operations. NOAs often differ in format and content across Federal entities and within entities.

Instructions

Your welcome email includes an attachment entitled “NOA Packet for Use in Test Model” containing several NOAs announcing fictional awards. Please review these NOAs and complete the questions in the electronic data collection tool <<LINK>> by collecting data from each of the NOAs you have received. If you believe that a NOA does not provide the information requested for a question, please respond “N/A”.

Please time how long it takes you to complete these questions. The final question will ask you to provide the number of minutes required to complete the exercise.
