A Continuous Personal Dust Monitors
(CPDM) determines the concentration of respirable dust in coal
mines. A CPDM must be designed and constructed for coal miners to
wear and operate without impeding their ability to perform their
work safely and effectively, and must be durable to perform
reliably in normal working conditions of coal mines. Paperwork
requirements imposed on applicants are related to the application
process and CPDM testing procedures.
