The collection of information requirement is for those credit unions seeking an exemption from the 20% or $3.0 million limit (whichever is greater). The credit union needs to submit a copy of their plan and their investment and lending policies, a copy of their latest financial statement, and an explanation for the request to the Regional Director. This is necessary to protect the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund.
