Take the pulse of the U.S. Economy straight from your phone. The America’s
Economy app provides real­time updates for 21 key economic indicators
released from the U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and
Bureau of Economic Analysis. Key economic measures on employment,
manufacturing, international trade, retail sales, and residential construction
and sales allow those who follow the U.S. economy to be the first to see
whether the indicator has gone up or down since the previous report, and
trends over time.

The America’s Economy app is just one example of how the Census Bureau
is following the Digital Government Strategy by making its statistics more
available anywhere, anytime and in any place. The Census Bureau does not

collect or retain any information using this application. All information is stored
only on your phone.

Terms of Service

"America’s Economy" is a mobile application provided by the U.S.
Department of Commerce, Census Bureau (Census) that provides the public
access to key statistics about the health of the United States economy
through a smart phone device.
Information presented on America’s Economy is public information and may
be freely distributed or copied.

Census does not require individuals to register or provide any personally
identifiable information (PII) to Census as a condition of downloading or using
America’s Economy. Census will not have access to any information
regarding individuals or individuals' devices using the America’s Economy
application.
The Terms of Service for use of the above application are as follows:
1. America’s Economy is provided to You, as the user, and those who may take by, through or under You, "as is," without
any warranty (whether express or implied) or representation whatsoever, including but not limited to any warranty of
merchantability. America’s Economy is taken hereunder without any right to support or to any improvements,
extensions, or modifications, except as may be agreed to separately, in writing, by Census.
2. You hereby and forever waive, release and discharge the United States/Department of Commerce and all its
instrumentalities, including Census (together, "Commerce"), from any and all liabilities and obligations in connection
with the use, application, sale or conveyance of America’s Economy. You agree that this term should be given the
broadest interpretation possible in favor of the release of Commerce under applicable law.
3. You will not use the logos, emblems, or trademarks of Commerce on any product or service that is directly or indirectly
related to these terms without the prior written approval of Commerce. You will not in any way imply that Commerce
endorses your use of America’s Economy.
4. You agree to make a good faith effort to use America’s Economy in a way that does not cause damage, harm, or
embarrassment to Commerce. Commerce expressly reserves all rights and remedies.
5. The construction, validity, performance, and effect of these terms for all purposes will be governed by Federal law of
the United States. Any disputes related to use of America’s Economy must be brought in an appropriate Federal court.
6. You shall indemnify and hold harmless Commerce from all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, expenses, and
losses arising from or in connection with your use, sale or conveyance of the America’s Economy application, including
those who take by, through or under You whether or not You were directly involved. This provision will survive
termination of these terms and will include any and all claims or liabilities arising under intellectual property rights, such
as patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. If You are an Executive Agency of the United States, this
clause is not applicable.
