What does this section cover?
This section requests information about your company’s employees, focusing on those who worked on
R&D activities either full-time or part-time. Include employment data for operations or subsidiaries for
which your company owned more than 50 percent.

R&D employees include all employees who work on R&D or who provide direct support
to R&D, such as researchers, R&D managers, technicians, clerical staff, and others assigned
to R&D groups. Exclude employees who provide only indirect support to R&D, such as
