This information collection is to
collect weekly sales information of dairy products such as cheddar
cheese, butter, nonfat dry milk and dry whey. The sales information
reported are used by USDA to calculate minimum prices for raw milk
marketed through the Federal milk marketing order system. This
collection will require manufacturers to submit information only by
electronic means specified by AMS.
Since the last submission in
2012, there has been an increase in burden of 525 hours and a
decrease of 208 annual responses. These changes are due in part to
reflect a more accurate "hours per response" time than previously
submitted. Increases in burden and decreases in responses reflect
refinement of AMS' original estimates based on user input, Some
manufacturers have consolidated operations which reduces the number
of individuals required to report..
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
