NRELâs System Advisor Model (SAM) is used by researchers and industry to predict the performance and cost of concentrating solar power (CSP) technologies. Maintaining the accuracy and relevance of SAM is critical for it to remain an effective tool for the DOE and its other users. This survey is necessary to collect data for the DOE and the national labs from industry members in order to :
⢠Assess how the industry is using the SAM tool and its accuracy
⢠Assess opportunities for, and barriers to, national laboratory and industry collaboration on improving the SAM tool
The information collected in this survey will be used to update values within SAM and will be documented on the public SAM website to inform stakeholders and improve SAM for future users. Results will not be attributed to any respondent or company.
