The proposed standards would establish standards of performance for carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from electric utility generating units (EGUs) currently in the 40 CFR part 60, Da and KKKK source categories under a new subpart TTTT. Subpart Da currently regulates utility boilers and integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) units, and subpart KKKK currently regulates stationary combustion turbines. A new information collection request (ICR) has been prepared in support of the standards being proposed. The EPA ICR tracking number is 2465.02. The EPA is co-proposing amending subparts Da and KKKK as an alternative to creating a new subpart, subpart TTTT. Since both approaches would have the same burden, this ICR burden estimate is intended to cover whatever approach is finalized.
