The National Center for HIV/AIDS,
Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP) proposes to
extend the data collection for the Resources and Services Database
of the CDC National Prevention Information Network (NPIN). NPIN
collects information from and about organizations that provide
services related to HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, STDs, and
TB.
The changes in this request
help to collect data/information more accurately and in a more
efficient and timely manner. There were changes made to the surveys
involving the decrease in the number of services and audience
codes. Changes were made to the NPIN Questionnaire for New
Organizations (see Attachment 3A) and the NPIN Questionnaire for
Annual Updates (see Attachment 3B) to reflect the changes, and to
modernize the look.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
(i) Why the information is being collected;

(iv) Nature of response (voluntary, required for a
benefit, or mandatory);
