Abstract: The Income and Eligibility Verification System (IEVS)is required by Title III of the Social Security Act, the Federal Unemployment Tax Act, and related statutes. It addresses the confidentiality and disclosure of state unemployment compensation information as well as the state income and eligibility verification provisions of the Deficit Reduction Act.
