Justification for Non Substantive Change Request (0853)

Request: Explanation of non-substantive change request.

This submission is being made for a non-substantive change request to an existing information collection pursuant to 44 U.S.C. § 3507. The Commission seeks to update FCC Forms 486 and 500 to move the forms onto a new information (IT) technology platform. USAC needs to process these forms on the new platform as part of an overhaul of its IT systems and in order to process funding commitments. There are minor wording changes in the online platform to explain to applicants how to click through these forms. Other than that, the information collected on these forms will not change, only the platform by which applicants access the form. There are no changes to the FCC Form 486 Instructions or FCC Form 500 Instructions. Also, there are no changes to the burdens or costs to this information collection.
