The purpose of this information
collection is to employ irradiation as an effective phytosanitary
treatment for importing fresh fruits and vegetables into the United
States.
The reinstatement of this
information collection resulted in a program change increase of +63
respondents and an increase of +40,434 total annual responses,
resulting in an increase of +332 total burden hours. APHIS is now
now accounting for the Phytosanitary Certificates for Foreign
Government respondents which were not included in the previous
information collection.
