Justification for a No Material/Non-Substantive Change
As a result of a Bureau organizational change which elevated the Personnel Security Branch to
the Personnel Security Division, the following revisions to ATF F 8620.65, Request for ATF
Background Investigation Information, are requested:
•

Introductory paragraph, line 1 – Replace “Branch (PSB)” with “Division (PSD)”

•

Introductory paragraph, line 2 – Replace “PSB staff” with “PSD staff”

•

Introductory paragraph, line 2 – Replace “[email protected]” with
“[email protected]”

•

Requestor Certification section, Federal Agency’s Certification – Replace “grant” with
“granting” (Note: Although this change is not the result of the organizational change, it is
a typographical error that should be corrected.)

•

PSB Official Use Only section – Replace the name of this section with “PSD Official Use
Only”

•

PSD Official Use Only section – Replace “PSB Representative” with “PSD
Representative”

•

Paperwork Reduction Act Notice, 1st paragraph, line 2 – Replace “(Personnel Security
Branch)” with “(Personnel Security Division)”
