FERC-725A(1B) is a temporary information collection number used in Docket RD16-6, for Reliability Standard TOP-010-1 (Real-time Reliability Monitoring and Analysis Capabilities). This collection will improve real-time situational awareness capabilities and enhance reliable operations by requiring reliability coordinators (covered under the related ICR in FERC-725Z), transmission operators and balancing authorities (covered under this ICR for FERC-725A(1B) to provide operators with an improved awareness of system conditions analysis capabilities, including alarm availability, so that operators may take appropriate steps to ensure reliability. These functions include planning, operations, data sharing, monitoring, and analysis. Without collecting this information, reliability of the bulk-power system could become compromised, potentially resulting in wide spread outages.
