This request concerns information
collection requirements related to organizational conflicts of
interest by contractors in major defense acquisition programs.
DFARS 209.571-8 and the associated provision at 252.209-7008
implement section 207 of the Weapon Systems Acquisition Reform Act
of 2009. DFARS provision 252.209-7008(b) requires an offeror to
submit a mitigation plan if requesting an exemption from the
statutory limitation on future contracting.
The estimates associated with
this renewal have been revised based on a reduced number of major
defense acquisition programs (MDAPs) and pre-MDAPs. In addition,
the renewal utilizes the current Office of Personnel Management
hourly rate for a General Schedule (GS) 15 employee to calculate
the costs.
