Under Section 2 of the Railroad
Unemployment Insurance Act, unemployment benefits are provided for
qualified railroad employees. The collection obtains the
information needed to determine the eligibility to and amount of
such benefits for railroad employees.
The estimate has been revised
downward to reflect the actual responses received during calendar
year 2015. The number of unemployment applications and claims has
decreased primarily due to stable employment in the rail industry.
We have shown the decrease of -2,449 responses and -30 burden hours
as an adjustment.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
